Curbing Process

At Everlasting Curb Appeal, the most important step in the process of beautifying your yard with continuous concrete curbing begins when we first meet at your home or business, and we learn what you want.  We will listen to your ideas and plans, learn about any problem areas and work together to create a solution that works best for your particular situation.   The company owner will personally do the estimate, and will also be present on installation day, to ensure that the curbing is installed according to your wishes.

Experience has shown that color charts do not accurately portray the color of cured concrete.  To ensure that you will get the best color match possible, we bring actual samples of concrete curbing to your estimate.  you will be able to see exactly what the finished curb will look like, and will be able to choose between many different colors, textures, and stamp patterns.

On installation day, we first use a shallow trenching machine to cut an 8″ swath where the curb will be installed.  This destroys any existing roots from creeping grasses, and provides a smooth path for the curb.  Any soft spots will be filled with compatible gravel and tamped to lessen the likelihood of cracking.  Once the ground is ready, we begin mixing concrete in our trailer-mounted cement mixer, carefully measuring the dye directly into the Portland cement and sand mix.  At this time we also add a reinforcing fiber to further strengthen the final curb.
